Kelsey Straatsma

Kelsey first graduated from McMaster University with an Honour’s Bachelor of Kinesiology, where she participated in a 1-year internship with McMaster Sport Medicine as a student physical trainer. After graduating, she worked for 3 years as a Certified Kinesiologist in different rehabilitation settings and then went on to pursue her physiotherapy career at Queen’s University, where she graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy.

She has since gone on to continue her education, particularly in the manual therapy field, and has successfully completed her Level 3 certification in the AIM (Advanced Integrated Muscoskeletal) physiotherapy program. She also has training in acupuncture and dry needling, soft tissue release, and pelvic health physiotherapy. Kelsey is also bilingual in English and French. Kelsey has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including acute care hospitals, post-op rehabilitation, and outpatient clinics, however is most passionate in the outpatient orthopaedic setting.
